The purpose of this qualification is to provide adult social care leaders and managers with greater confidence and capability to lead the use of technology in the delivery of care, and to improve the quality of life and outcomes of the people who draw on care.

Learners will also develop their knowledge and understanding of how to drive digitisation within their organisation, lead and support their wider workforce to develop skills and confidence with technology and lead a positive culture of learning and the continuous improvement of care services.

Who is the Level 5 Award in Understanding Digital Leadership in Adult Care for?

  • Those in leadership positions with clear understanding of the current adult social care sector and the need to introduce the use of technology in the delivery of care to improve the outcomes of the people who draw on care and support.

  • There are 3 mandatory units which must be completed to gain 12 credits.
  • Unit DL1 The use of technology and data in adult social care
  • Unit DL2 Implement technology in adult social care
  • Unit DL3 Lead change, learning and improvement in adult social care

Entry requirements

  • Learner must be aged 18 or over
  • In work or volunteering in a leadership position and hold a minimum of Level 3 qualification
