This Level 2 Award in Awareness of End-of-Life qualification provide the opportunity develop an understanding of different perspectives of death and dying and the impact it has on individuals. It covers the aims and principles of end-of-life care, communication factors, and how to access a range of support services in end-of-life care.

The Award provides initial learning in end-of-life care and could provide opportunity of CPD across all levels. This makes ideal for anyone who may need an understanding of this subject even though they are not directly involved in the care of individuals.

Who is the Level 2 Award in Awareness of End of Life for?

What you'll study (mandatory units)

  • From the mandatory units 4 credits are required and 8 credits from option units
  • EOL201 Understand how to work in end-of-life care (A503/8085)

  • Learner must be aged 16 or over
  • No previous qualifications are required
  • Funding may be available for those who meet value-based recruitment requirements
