The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with a range of underpinning knowledge in both generic and specialist cleaning principles and meet the needs of those who work or want to work in the cleaning sector.

Who is the Level 2 Certificate in Cleaning Principles for?

Those interested in working in the cleaning sector: to acquire the skills and competences that cleaning operatives require to work independently, work within a team environment, and reduce health and safety risks in the workplace.
All learning takes place in a real work environment ensuring that learners professionally develop seamlessly with day-to-day operations.

What you'll study (mandatory units)

A total of 13 credits is required to achieve this qualification.
There are 3 mandatory units which must be completed to gain 10 credits and 1 optional unit required to gain 3 credits.
Unit 01 Dealing with routine and non-routine waste
Unit 02 Health and safety for the cleaning and support services industry
Unit 03 Working with customers and others in the cleaning and support services industry
Unit 19 Internal cleaning of passenger transport
