This qualification develops high level knowledge, skills and competence needed to work in lead job roles in settings such as residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres or clinical healthcare settings. It will support learners to develop specialist knowledge and skills in their area of responsibility and enable them to promote a values-based culture within their setting. It contains both mandatory and optional units allowing learners to tailor the qualification to meet their needs, interests, preferred progression paths and the context of their job role.
Completing this qualification could lead to progression to the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services and job roles such as:
